From the couple:
"For our engagement pictures we knew we wanted to take them in Atlanta. It is where our love story began. Everyone does the park and bridge pictures which are beautiful but we wanted something different to capture who we are. So, thinking back to our first dates, we always went to breakfast. Jarrett worked nights and I worked days and weekends so breakfast was usually the only time we were both free to meet. Homegrown is one of the greats I’m Atlanta, I mean the Comfy Chicken! We were there often.
I had the idea to reach out and see if we could take engagement pictures there. It would capture our early breakfast dates and the vibe of East Atlanta. The contact was just as excited as we were. We are so thankful they allowed us to come into their space and take photos that we’ll cherish forever. Shout out to Homegrown!"

"The engagement ring is very special. It is my grandmother’s engagement ring. I had never really seen it that much growing up so didn’t know how perfect is. A solitaire diamond on a gold band. A Classic. All I had to do was get it sized. My grandmother loves Jarrett and had offered it to him before he ever asked. I’m glad he took her up on it."

"Jarrett and I actually met and were friends throughout high school but didn’t begin dating until we both were living in Atlanta in 2019. Jarrett proposed the night before we moved into our first house. We went by the house just to get one last look at it empty and prepare for the move the next day. He had left the truck running and when I pointed it out, he asked me to go back and turn it off. Little did I know this was his plan to get in the house before me. When I walked in, I asked where he was, he was in the master bedroom down on one knee. I was very surprised and had to have him repeat what exactly he said later on because it was such an unexpected annd exciting moment."
